The Great-Horned Owlets in 3 separate nests at Silver Saddle Ranch in Carson City are all in the “branching” stage. This is 2 owlets on a branch away from their nest, which had 4 owlets in it. Last year in this same nest, the female had 5 owlets. Both numbers are amazing for a Great-Horned Owl nest. A very productive female, assuming she is the same one that nested there last year. ~Rob Lowry
